e-Nyay is a web-based application that turns a paper-based courtroom into a secure, efficient and fully paperless one. Everyone in the hearing works from one digital file instead of a paper bundle.
It works with any document management system, and most seamlessly with NyayNest.
e-Nyay replaces the paper bundle with a digital file that everyone in the courtroom works from. Five roles each get their own dashboard, built around what that role actually does in a hearing, so no one wades through screens meant for someone else.
Every document opens in one universal viewer, whatever its format, and the case file is organised into four tabs so the bench moves through every file the same way.
Each user lands on a dashboard for their role, with live counts of fresh cases, cases for orders, for admission and more.
Cases are listed in the order they were received from CIS.
Documents, images, audio and video open in the universal viewer, with no outside software.
Annotate, share timed comments, or refer a page to the judge.
Updates such as adjournments are recorded against the case and synchronised with connected systems.
Admin, Judge, Advocate, Courtroom Staff and Court Master each get a dashboard built around their own work, including court administration.
PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, images, audio and video open in one viewer.
Information, Documents, Media and Updates: the bench moves through every file the same way.
Highlights, notes, marks and signatures are stored as overlays, so the filed original never changes.
Working comments can be shared with selected users and set to lapse after a time limit.
An advocate flags a page or document; on acceptance the judge sees it side by side with their own view.
Aligned with India’s e-Courts Mission (Phase III) and its aim of a nationwide paperless judiciary.
Case lists come from CIS, in the order CIS sends them.
Integrates with NyayNest, the long-term digital repository, and with eLegalix.
System and user events are logged for full traceability and reporting.

Where it sits: in the courtroom, from listing to order.
